What is Environmental Wellness?

Must read

Environmental wellness is about awareness and harmony. Awareness of your surroundings will cultivate awareness of one’s self and vice versa. Many of us will be stubborn and make excuses like “My work desk is messy, but I get things done, and I know where everything is!”, however; we all know this does not work and that ultimately this person is always stressed out. A messy work desk means a messy day of work with priorities mismanaged. This is just one example of how understanding the environment and practicing environmental wellness can help prevent stressful situations from occurring, thus letting the quality of your skills rise, making every single aspect of your life run a bit smoother, a bit better.

It is about respect. If you respect yourself and your personal space, you will care about your surroundings and how you feel in them. It gives you a sense of empowerment from being in control of how you want to live and how you want to feel. Every little detail counts. One task left undone will become a mountain of obligations. It is a logical choice to maintain a clean and healthy way of life by maintaining a clean and healthy personal space. This established good habit will then in turn carry over into the workplace, therefore, “reformatting” your life into one clean slate at all times. It will start to feel natural to live in harmony, to live with care for our planet and our future.

Environmental wellness simply asks of us a number of personal and societal duties

  • Be wary of the planet’s health and resources.
  • Be environmentally conscious
  • Watch the things you buy, use, produce, and throw away
  • Recycle as much as you can
  • Practice energy conservation
  • Connect with nature
  • Do your part to protect nature
  • Do not pollute
  • Live smart, live clean ( clean as you go )
  • Develop good habits, because bad habits produce pollution
  • Lead by example
