Tips on How to Solve Dry Skin

Must read

Women tend to forget about their skin care routine what with all the work that they need to go through in the day. Just imagine waking up to a fully loaded schedule, everyday! It’s no wonder you can barely keep your skin looking smooth and soft.  Unfortunately, forgetting about your skin care does have its drawbacks and one of them is having dull and dry skin which can be prone to cracking and peeling, both of which are not really good signs to be honest.

How then can you revive your skin?

The good news is that there are always ways for you to bring back the natural beauty of your skin and here are some that you can get started with:

Hydrate

While we are so busy getting through the day, most of us forget to hydrate ourselves. This is one of the reasons why our skin is feeling rough lately because of the lack of moisture. It’s high time that you start getting more fluids in your system.

Reduce bath time

As much as you would like to stay in the shower and have the water spraying against your tired muscles, spending more than 10 minutes there can easily get rid of the natural oils on your skin. Keep in mind that the natural oils act as a protective barrier and are the ones responsible for keeping your skin soft and supple. That said, limit your time in the shower to ten minutes only and don’t do hot baths even if its for reducing the aches and pains. A lukewarm shower is much better as it is safe for your skin.

Cleanse and moisturize

With all the dirt, dust, sweat, and makeup that you have covered your skin with during the day, it is important that you cleanse your skin at the end of the day. This helps keep your pores free from any blockages that may lead to irritation. After cleansing, don’t forget to moisturize your skin as this helps bring back the lost moisture on your skin.

Get rid of stress

Stress does have an effect on your skin. Those worry lines crossing your forehead? Well, stress can do that to you. It may even affect the quality of your skin as well. If you wish to keep your skin looking fresh, your best option is to deal with stress as soon as possible. Go out for a walk or take up a new hobby. You’ll see a huge difference for sure.
