Eating fish is highly recommended to those who are suffering from SAD because the oil they contain can regulate your hormones. Fish oil has other health benefits too such as it being good for your heart. If you are not a fan of eating wild-caught fish, there are fish oil supplements that you can also take to get the essential nutrients that you’ll find in fish oil.

Eat dark chocolate

This sounds like counterintuitive after being told that you should avoid eating sugar when the days become shorter but we are talking about dark chocolate that is actually rich in polyphenols which are good antioxidants that are necessary for your body. This may sound tough given the temperature outdoors can drop in an instant but you can always exercise indoors.
