Hair loss is a common occurrence as we age but when your hair starts to thin out early, you’re probably looking into remedies to hide the issue. There are many factors that can contribute to thinning hair such as medication, illness, and even stress just to name a few. Although it is tempting to pay for an expensive hair treatment to solve this distressing problem, looking for more natural remedies is still highly recommended. As a matter of fact, here are a few natural remedies that can help solve your thinning hair.
Olive oil. It seems that olive oil can do more than just be used in preparing for your dishes in the kitchen. This oil can help add more volume to your hair while softening your tresses. Massage some warm olive oil on your scalp and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes or you can leave it on the entire night. Just rinse your hair with shampoo afterwards.
Onion. Another possible solution to thinning hair is to combine onion juice and honey and apply on your hair and scalp. This will give you relief from the itching that can accompany thinning hair. Massage the pulp of the onion on your hair every other day for two weeks.
Aloe vera. This is one of the most effective solutions to solving thinning hair. The juice or pulp of the aloe can help thicken your hair while at the same time moisturize your scalp and tresses. For this treatment, simply get the pulp or juice of the aloe from its leaves then massage onto your scalp. Leave it on for 30 minutes or so before rinsing with lukewarm water. You should use this treatment at least once or twice a week to see results.
Aloe vera. This may sound unusual but apparently vinegar can also be used as a treatment for thinning hair. Massage half a cup of apple cider vinegar onto your scalp and hair and rinse afterwards with a cup of lukewarm water. You can also take half a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar three to four times in a day to promote better hair growth as well.
Flaxseed. Here’s another effective solution to use when you want to have thicker hair. For starters, you need to soak about a quarter cup of flaxseed overnight. The following day, boil the flaxseeds in two cups of water over high heat. Stir the pot occasionally. Once the mixture has thickened, turn off the heat and strain the mixture. You can add a few drops of essential oil to the gel if you like. Once it has cooled down, use the mixture like a hair gel.
These are just a few examples of natural remedies that are perfect for solving your thinning hair issue. What’s great about these treatments is that they are safe to use and are absolutely inexpensive. It’s just a matter of finding which remedy works perfectly for you. These remedies are just for starters. You might be surprised to find other hopeful treatments for thinning hair out there.
