With that being said, these homemade recipes are just what you need to make your chapped lips disappear.

Rose petals

If you are growing roses in your garden, then you are in luck. Rose petals can actually rescue from dry and cracked lips and what’s even better is that it can also make your lips appear more beautiful too. Gather some rose petals first then wash them. Now soak the petals in a bowl of milk and leave it there for hours. Choose glycerin if you have problems with dairy. Mash the petals afterward until you form a paste. Apply this on your lips two to three times in a day or before you go to sleep.

Chamomile lip scrub

Another home remedy that can help you deal with chapped lips is making your own chamomile lip scrub. Chamomile is known for its soothing properties that can relieve irritation. Another plus to recipe is that the sunflower oil can help repair the skin too. If you don’t like chamomile, try calendula, plantain, or even violet leaf. In this recipe, you will need 2 tablespoons of chamomile that is infused with sunflower oil and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Mix the two ingredients thoroughly then rub a small amount of it on your dry lips. Rinse it off afterwards using warm water then appy lip balm afterwards to lock in the moisture.

Castor oil

You should also use castor oil to help bring back the natural moisture to your chapped lips. You only need to apply castor oil on your lips as many times as you like in a day to help soothe your lips. If you want to prepare a treatment, you should mix a teaspoon each of glycerin and castor oil plus some lemon juice. Apply this on your lips afterwards before you go to bed. Wash it off the following day using cotton ball that you have dipped in water. You should do this daily and you will see a huge improvement on your lips.

Honey and sugar scrub

This simple mixture is guaranteed to help revive cracked and dry lips. Honey is known for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and humectant properties. Sugar, on the other hand, can help exfoliate your lips. Using this scrub can help remove dead skin cells while making your skin smooth and soft. All that you have to do is to mix equal parts of sugar and honey then apply on your skin. Just scrub lightly then leave it on for a few minutes. Wash afterwards with warm water and a clean washcloth. You should apply your lip balm after.
