Do you want to go on a diet, but you just can’t seem to find the right food to eat without feeling like you ate too much? When you are on a diet, it is normal to not know what to eat, the normal assumption people would get is just to cook up some greens and eat an apple a day and it will instantly make you thinner, but it is not like that. If you are going to go on a diet seriously, besides the food you also need to include exercise so that the progress is quicker.
There are many healthy foods you can eat and make on your own that have the right nutrients and vitamins to help you loose weight. Before you cook anything though, you also have to consider counting the calories and finding out how many calories each ingredient has so that you are aware of how much fat you are taking in to your body.
Most healthy food would include ingredients rich in protein like fish, lean meat, eggs, and etc. the important thing is to eat at a minimum and in portions so that you do not get late night cravings. Diets will always depend on the person, but if you have your own way of doing this, just make sure that you are doing it the right way.

- Healthy fast food – Not all fast food restaurants have greasy and fattening food, you will be surprised at how many fast food restaurants there are that actually serve some healthy food on their menus. You just have to pick the right restaurant and select the right food with the right calorie count. For example, you can try Quiznos Flatbread without any dressing. This has around 250 calories for everything. You can also try Subway or Taco Bell’s fresco style items, which have around 180 calories. You can try everything just as long as you pay attention to the calories that you intake, then you should be fine.
- Light salads – If you are going for an all salad diet, do not get anything that is too creamy like Cesar dressing, or Thousand Island. It is a better alternative to use dressing like vinaigrette, apple cider vinegar or even lemon. It might not do much for you, but you can always add some chicken or any kind of protein to your salad so that it doesn’t taste too bland. The problem with bland is, you will have a tendency to cheat or eat too much after you eat the salad which is wrong. Get something that you are comfortable with so that you do not end up regretting your decision to eat something heavier after you ate the salad.
- Diet friendly desserts – It is ok to eat dessert but again you have to pay attention to the calories that it contains. If you have a love for ice cream, you can get yogurt based ice creams or skinny cow ice cream cones which have 150 calories. It’s not so bad but if you do not feel comfortable with the calories that you have ingested, you can always take a few hours more in the gym to burn all the calories.
If you were to diet make sure to pick food that you are ok with but at the same time eat small portions. Just try to avoid food that is too greasy or has too much saturated fat, so that you can loose weight faster.
