Remove Brown Spots on Skin Naturally

Must read

Do you see those brown spots on your skin? Why they are called age spots and they often appear on the hands, arms, face, neck, shoulders, or anywhere that is constantly exposed to the sun. Health experts believe that these age spots tend to appear when you hit your 40s and above but it doesn’t mean that the younger folks won’t experience them. Although these spots are called age spots, age alone is not the only reason they appear because constant exposure to UV rays or too much sunlight can make them appear as well.

Most people turn to bleaching agents that they bought over-the-counter to even out their skin tone but there are safer and more natural ways to do this.

Castor Oil. Castor oil is known for its healing properties and is considered as one of the best remedies to making age spots disappear. You will need a cotton ball to apply the oil on the affected areas of your skin. Massage the area for a few minutes then let the oil sit for a few hours before rinsing. You should do this treatment once in the morning and once at night to get the desired results.

Lemon Juice. When it comes to lightening your skin tone, you won’t go wrong with using lemon. You need to apply fresh lemon juice on the brown spots on your skin at least two times a day to lighten them up. Let the juice set for 10 minutes then rinse using warm water. The citric acid found in the lemon juice can help get rid of dead skin cells while lightening the dark spots.

Aloe Vera. This wonder plant is also a good choice when it comes to treating dark spots on your skin as it has healing properties that are ideal for your skin. To use this remedy, simply rub the juice of the aloe on the affected areas and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash afterwards with cold water. This treatment should be done 2 times a day for an entire month. You can purchase aloe juice in the supermarket if you don’t have any fresh aloe at home.

Pineapple. Here’s another home remedy that you can turn to when dealing with brown spots. What makes this fruit a good choice in lightening your skin is that it contains bromelain which is a type of mild bleaching agent that can reduce the appearance of brown spots on your skin. You should do this treatment at least once a day until you see results.

Buttermilk. If you have some buttermilk at home you might want to grab it and use it to minimize the appearance of brown spots on your skin. You should apply buttermilk at least twice in a day. What makes buttermilk useful is that it contains lactic acid which can exfoliate your skin to reveal lighter colored skin.

Papaya. Most skin whitening products being sold today contain papaya and they are right to do so. After all, papaya has alpha-hydroxy acids and other enzymes that work as exfoliating agents that can minimize skin blemishes, reduce dark spots, and heal other types of skin problems. For this treatment, you only need to rub a tablespoon of freshly grated papaya on the affected skin, leave it for 20 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Do this twice a day to speed up the process.
