Basil

You should also try basil when you have a headache because it is packed with analgesic properties. The oil is efficient as a muscle relaxant which can alleviate the headache that you are suffering from caused by tight and tense muscles. For this remedy, you will need basil leaves, a tablespoon of honey, and a cup of water. Steep the leaves in boiling water and let them simmer for a few minutes. Add the honey afterwards and sip it slowly. If you don’t have any problem eating the leaves, chew some fresh basil leaves to help ease the tension in your head.

Diet changes

Another remedy to help prevent migraine attacks is to make changes to your diet. This is due to the fact that some foods can actually trigger migraines like processed foods, alcohol, caffeinated beverages, red wine, and chocolate just to name a few.
