Facial Masks to Rejuvenate Your Skin

Must read

Taking care of our skin can be challenging at times especially when our busy schedule leaves us wanting to drop in bed and sleep as soon as we get home, not to mention the fact that we are constantly exposing ourselves to the environment where dirt, dust, sweat, and wind can cause the pores of our skin to get clogged and irritated. Having dull and dry skin can be a bit problematic especially when it becomes prone to breakouts, but the good news is that you can achieve a clearer and more beautiful looking skin with the help of facial masks like the one below.

Detox face mask with coconut oil

Bentonite clay is often used for cleansing and detoxifying the skin because it has the ability to draw out any impurities that may be clogging your skin. This is why it is commonly used in many facial masks. To create your own detox mask, you should prepare 2 tablespoons of bentonite clay, half a tablespoon of raw honey, a teaspoon of coconut oil, a drop of lemon essential oil or juice of half a lemon. All that you have to do is to mix the ingredients together in a small bowl and apply on your newly washed face. Allow the mask to sit for about 10 minutes before you rinse. Use this as you desire.

Vinegar facial mask

Did you know that vinegar is used as a skin toner ever since Helen of Troy? It shouldn’t be much of a surprise then that it is still being incorporated into many natural skin care routines today. For this facial mask, you should combine 2 cups of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to be used as a final rinse for your face when washing it. Another recipe that you can try is to mix ¼ cup each of water and apple cider vinegar, then apply it evenly on your face. Allow it to dry on your skin before rinsing.

Egg white and honey face mask

That dull and dry looking skin that you have can be corrected with the help of some egg white and honey. You will need one egg and a tablespoon of raw honey. Crack the egg then add the honey to be mixed thoroughly. Tie your hair back before applying the solution evenly on your face, while avoiding the areas around the eyes clear. Leave it on until you feel the mask tightening then rinse it off with lukewarm water. You’ll find that your pores will feel tighter and properly cleansed as well. The egg can help clear any excess oil on our skin while giving your skin tone a boost as well. As for the honey, its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties can help fight off any irritation that is making your skin red.

Oatmeal facial mask

Oatmeal is always a good source of fiber for breakfast, but it can also be used to help rejuvenate your skin too. Add half a cup of hot water in a bowl that is filled with 1/3 cup of oatmeal and let it sit for two to three minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt, 1 small egg white, and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix afterwards then apply a thin layer on your face. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse using warm water.

These are just a few facial masks that can help rejuvenate your dull and dry looking skin. What’s great about this DIY facial masks is that they can be done any time, anywhere so that you will be able to maintain that gorgeous looking skin.
