You will need 3 drops of peppermint essential oil, ¼ teaspoon of jojoba oil, ¼ teaspoon of sweet almond oil, and 3 teaspoons of coconut oil. You will need 3 tablespoons of beeswax pellets, 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of shea butter, and 10 to 20 drops of your choice of essential oil. Melt the beeswax, shea butter, and the coconut oil in a microwave-safe container in increments of 30 seconds. Stir well after adding each ingredient. Add the essential oil and stir. Transfer the mixture into containers and set aside to cool before using.Â

If you are not into those fruity scents and flavors for lip balms, this spicy recipe might do the trick. You should prepare 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon of beeswax, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of shea butter, 1 teaspoon of apricot oil, and 8 drops of cinnamon essential oil. Get a small saucepan and add a pint of water. Simmer over medium heat. Place an oven-safe bowl on top of the saucepan to create a double broiler. Add the beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, and the apricot oil into the bowl then heat until the beeswax melts. Stir occasionally. Once the beeswax is melted, remove the bowl from the saucepan and add the honey and essential oils while stirring. Pour into tins or lip balm tubes then let them cool.Â
