5-Minute Hairstyles for Long Hair

Must read

We just can’t get enough of our long hair as it frames our face and adds character to our overall visage. But as much as you want to have long and flowing locks, when you don’t have time to style it as you would want to do, you might end up having the same hair style day in and day out. This just won’t do! Just because you only have five minutes left in the morning to look presentable, it doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve this. As a matter of fact, you’re going to love these 5-minute hairstyles that are just perfect for that flowing mane of yours. Here they are:

Loose ponytail

This is probably the easiest look that you can pull off with your long hair. Simply tie your hair in a loose ponytail with a rubber band or even a few locks of your hair, let other hair strands fall this way and that, spray some texturing spray on your bangs and even on your tied tresses and you are done. You’ll give off that “I woke up like this” vibe and for sure, other people will love it.

Twisted ponytail

Since we are in the subject of ponytails, the twisted version is going to make heads turn as to how you managed to pull this off. The good news is that you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Simply divide your hair into two sections then twist one section before wrapping it around the other section to create a twist to your hair and then tie the ends afterwards. Sounds good, right?

Half Heidi braid

If you want to leave your hair loose and flowing but would like to add some oomph to it, the half Heidi braid is worth trying out. This is actually quite easy to do. Get a small section of hair on each side of your head. Braid each section then tie one end to the opposite side and use a bobby pin to secure it in place. Do the same with the other braid. Leave the rest of your hair hanging loose and you are done.

Summer scarf updo

Another quick updo to use when you are in a rush is the summer scarf updo. For this hairstyle, you will need a stretchy headband and some bobby pins. Start by tying your stretch hairband a bit close to the crown of your head all the way to the back. Secure the band in place using bobby pins while your hair is still loose. Now section your hair and tuck each section into the band until you reach the back of your head. Do the same with the other side of your hair. Gather the remaining loose hair and tuck them into your headband. Secure them in place with bobby pins.

Half French braid

You can still look casual yet elegant at the same time by doing a half French braid. This hairstyle will keep your hair off your face while you work. The best part is that you don’t need to touch it up because it will stay braided even in the afternoon.

The low knot

If your hair is in medium length, you can also do the low knot. Simply divide your hair into two sections then gather each section in each hand. Now tie them together as you would a knot then secure the ends with a hair tie. Tuck the end inside the knot and secure in place with a bobby pin and you are done.
