We are all conscious of our skin complexion not just women in particular but men as well. But when it comes to skin care we tend to focus only on our face. I’m not saying this is not important but you should not ignore the rest of your body because that’s the only way you can boast of a healthy skin.
Let’s get started then on how you can achieve that smooth and flawless complexion and these are just easy to follow steps.
1. Take a Bath Everyday
Taking a bath or shower daily will help to unclog your pores and gives your skin that refreshing feeling.
2. Exfoliate
If you are using body wash go for the exfoliating one instead of the regular one. Body wash helps in removing dead skin cells so that you can have that smooth and healthy skin.
3. Use Bath Sponge
Always use a bath sponge or loofah, as this improves blood circulation due to the rubbing action. The end result is a healthy and rejuvenated skin.
4. Avoid Soap
Avoid using soap for you face and body. Soaps are acidic and can affect the pH balance of your skin resulting to a rough and dry skin. Use mild soap instead or facial wash for your face.
5. Wash Face
Always remember to wash your face at least twice a day. Wash your face in the morning and before going to bed.
6. Facial Scrub
Dry and dead skin cells are scrub away using a facial scrub.
7. Facial Wash
Use facial wash when washing your face. It contains less chemical than soap and you should try to use an exfoliating face wash for the right amount of moisture.
8. Moisturizing Cream
Make it a habit to apply moisturizing cream every night before going to sleep. This is the best time for your skin to absorb any cream you apply without it being washed away. Apply the cream on your face, knee, elbow and any rough spots on your body.
9. Drink Water
Water is good for your skin. It it recommended that you drink at least 8Â glasses/day to keep your skin soft and hydrated.
10. Let Your Skin Breathe
Let your skin breathe at least once a week. Have a “no makeup” rule at least once a week. In doing so, you are allowing your skin to breathe freely and have a break from the cosmetics and makeup.
11. Makeup Removal
Don’t forget to wash off your makeup before going to be at night. Leaving your makeup can cause damage to your skin. Go to bed each night with a clean face and a dab of moisturizer.
12. Use Sunscreen
Apply sunscreen after you shower or take a bath instead of lotion. Make sure you don’t miss a spot on your face, include your hairline, ears, neck and earlobes.
13. Quality Products
Why spend your money on cheap products for your skin? Go for the reputed brands and those products of good quality. Never experiment with cheap products when it comes to your skin.
