10 Natural Ways to Get Rid of Dandruff

1. Coconut oil

You should massage 3-5 tablespoons of coconut oil to your scalp and leave it on for an hour. Then shampoo as you normally would. You can also try using a shampoo that contains coconut oil.

2. Aloe vera

Massage aloe vera into your scalp. By doing this, you prevent yourself from scratching
because of the cooling effects of the aloe vera.

3. Onion paste

You need to apply the onion paste on you scalp while leaving it for an hour. Then wash it off thoroughly as you normally would. You can apply some fresh lemon juice to rid your hair of onion smell.

4. Tea tree oil

According to studies, tea tree oil can help in improving the severity of dandruff. You can just add a significant drops of tea tree oil in your shampoo and then wash it off normally.

5. Lemon

The acidity i lemon helps to keep the pH balance of your scalp which keeps dandruff away. Massage 2 tablespoons lemon juice in your scalp and then rinse with water afterwards. You should do this daily until your dandruff is gone.

6. Baking soda

Rub baking soda into your scalp but first wet your hair. You should not use shampoo but proceed to rinse your hair instead. Baking soda help in the reduction of fungi which is the cause of dandruff.

7. Apple cider vinegar

Mix a quarter of water and apple cider vinergar in a spray bottle and spray into your scalp. Then wrap you head in a towel for 15-1 hour. You may wash your hair as normal and do this at least twice a week. The acidity of the apple cider vinegar will prevent yeast from growing and prevent dandruff.

8. Wash your hair everyday

To get rid off excess oil in your hair, you should shampoo your hair everyday. Excess oil in your hair may be the cause of overgrowth of malassezia.

9. Salt

Shake the salt into your scalp, whie working it into your hair thru massage. The abrasiveness of the works well in out dandruff flakes befire you shampoo.

10. Garlic

Due to the anti-fungal properties of garlic, they are best for getting rid of dandruff-causing bacteria. Rub the crused garlic into your scalp. To avoid your hair from the smell of garlic, you may mixed the crushed garlic with honey and massage into your scalp. Then you should rinse as usual.
