How you spend your mornings can have a huge impact to your day so if you want to set the tone on how your day will run, why not spend ten minutes of your time to do your beauty routine? Keep in mind that there is no one beauty routine to follow as our skin types and needs are not the same. What’s important though is to find your own personal routine that you can stick to on a daily basis.
Here is a sample morning beauty routine that you might want to try.
Start with cleansing. The first step to making your morning amazing is to cleanse your face. This will help remove the night cream that you have applied the night before. Look for a gentle cleanser to wipe off any traces of creams and dirt from your face.
Oil pull using coconut oil. Aside from your face, you should also consider your oral health. One way to cleanse and detoxify your mouth and gums is through oil pulling. In this process, you will take a tablespoon of coconut oil but not swallow it. Allow it to swish around your mouth, between your teeth, and around your gums. You should do this for 2 minutes to get rid of any debris that may be lingering in your mouth.
Apply sunscreen and moisturizer. Moisturizing your skin is a must to protect yourself against dryness. And while you are at it, why not look for a moisturizer that has sunscreen protection too? The SPF level should be high enough to get you your desired protection. Apply the moisturizer starting at the hairline of your forehead then work your way down to your chest. Keep in mind that your neck and chest also exposed to the harsh rays of the sun.
Exfoliate with coffee scrub. Another step to add to your morning routine is to exfoliate your face with coffee scrub. Coffee scrubs are good for giving your skin a morning boost and will even help reduce the puffiness around your eyes. You can purchase pre-made coffee scrubs if you don’t have time to make one or make your own. Just make sure that you apply toner afterwards to balance the pH levels of your skin.
Conceal. Sometimes we end up with dark circles under our eyes because of another late night and it’s going to be bothersome for sure since it will make you look older than your years. Fortunately, you can hide blemishes with some help from a concealer. Apply a small amount on areas that you want to hide and spread evenly. Use a concealer that is one shade lighter than your skin tone so that it won’t be too obvious.
Dry shampoo is handy. There are days when taking a bath or shower is not in your to-do list but this may leave your hair looking dull and greasy. To avoid this issue with your hair, use dry shampoo to absorb the excess oil that is clinging to your scalp and hair strands. Comb your hair afterwards to spread the dry shampoo and to detangle your hair too.
Don’t forget your makeup. If you want to look your best without putting too much makeup on, start with some foundation first. Make sure that you choose a shade that is close to your skin tone for an even finish. Apply some blush on the apples of your cheeks to give that rosy glow. Mascara will also do nicely to make your eyes pop too. Apply lipstick afterwards to complete your look.
